FOLK ARCANA

So, you want to buy an amulet? Very well, but keep it out of sight! The Duke’s men come to see me, so the Watch turns a blind eye, but the Church isn’t above having you clapped in irons!

Folk Arcana is a system-independent book of witchcraft magic items, with a focus on storytelling possibilities, rather than tactical combat effects. Guaranteed to add a dash of narrative spice to your table.

Potions and spells, baubles and charms, they all come to see old Saffra. What is it you’re wanting? Love? Protection from the evil eye? Maybe you’d like to know what the Gods have in store?
An amulet, is it? Very well, but keep it out of sight! The Duke’s men come to see me, so the Watch is inclined to turn a blind eye, but the Church doesn’t like it, not one single bit. It’s been a long time since anyone’s been burned, but they’re not above having you clapped in irons.

Have you silver? Good. Otherwise, a purse is naught but an empty bag. Leave aside ten pieces for your humble servant, and we shall see what can be done.
